Toronto, ON (November 28, 2012): Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE) is pleased to announce the student teams across Canada who have been awarded program partnership grants.

BDC Entrepreneurs First! Project Fund
The BDC Entrepreneurs First! Project Fund, launched in 2011, is designed to empower Enactus teams with the skills and resources to make a meaningful difference in their communities through entrepreneurship.
“At BDC, we recognize the importance of promoting business education and creating opportunities for future entrepreneurs,” says Michel Bergeron, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Public Affairs at BDC. “This is an ideal time to discover that being entrepreneurial in tackling social and business challenges can be a very valuable and rewarding experience.”
In the 2012-2013 academic year, 7 teams will receive $2,500 in funding to develop or expand an entrepreneurship project and be paired with a BDC representative who will act as a project advisor to help support their efforts.

Genworth Financial Literacy Project Fund
The Genworth Financial Literacy Project Fund was designed to empower student teams with the skills and resources to strengthen the financial well-being of individuals and communities across Canada.
In the 2012-2013 academic year, 6 teams will receive $2,500 in funding to invest in the development of a new or expansion of an existing financial literacy project and be paired with a Genworth Canada representative, where possible, who will act as a project advisor to help support their efforts.

RBC Newcomer Advancement Project Fund
In the fall of 2011, RBC helped to pioneer new programming, launching the RBC Newcomer Advancement Project Fund designed to empower Enactus teams with the skills and resources to support RBC’s efforts to accelerate the advancement of newcomers to Canada, creating social and economic opportunities that will strengthen the well-being of communities.
In the 2012-2013 academic year, 6 teams will receive $2,500 in funding to invest in the development of a new or expansion of an existing project focused on the advancement of newcomers to Canada and be paired with an RBC representative, where possible, who will act as a project advisor to help support their efforts.
