MISSISSAUGA (March 14, 2013) – Nick May, owner of Remay and full time student at Carleton University, has been named a 2013 Student Entrepreneur Regional Champion for Central Canada. Champions were named by national charitable organization, Enactus Canada and proud program supporter, the John Dobson Foundation as part of the Student Entrepreneur National Competition.

May was awarded the title of Student Entrepreneur Regional Champion by a panel of industry leaders serving as judges at the Enactus Canada Regional Exposition in Mississauga because he balances the demands of a full time university course load with the pressure of running his company. May has designed a shaving product for woman to use inside or outside of the shower, transforming “shaving cream” into a “soft gel bar”, making shaving clean, quick and easy.

“Being named Student Entrepreneur Regional Champion is a great boost for Remay as my product is distributed throughout Canada,” says May. “I want to thank Enactus Canada and The John Dobson Foundation for recognizing all the work that has gone into my company to make it a success.”

Mike Wahl, Co-Owner Definitions, presented the Student Entrepreneur Regional Champion awards on behalf of Enactus Canada.

“Enactus Canada is pleased to celebrate and support Nick’s combined business and academic efforts,” explains Enactus Canada president Nicole Almond. “His entrepreneurial spirit will serve as inspiration to other student entrepreneurs across the country.”

With the regional title, May now also has the chance to become National Champion at the 2013 Enactus Canada National Exposition in Toronto, Ontario taking place on May 8th. The National Champion will receive a $10,000 cash prize and represent Canada at the international level of competition, the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards.
