Diana Virgovicova from University of Toronto claimed the title of top Student Entrepreneur at the 2025 Enactus Canada Student Entrepreneur National Competition, earning $10,000 in funding and national acclaim for their venture, Xatoms. The win was announced on the opening night of the Enactus Canada National Exposition featuring live presentations from three finalists whose innovations address critical challenges in healthcare and clean drinking water.
The finalists were selected over several rounds of judging from over 100 applicants nationwide, Xatoms stood out for its AI and quantum chemistry-driven materials that purify water without electricity, offering a lifeline to underserved communities. Congratulations to the Runner-Up, Marine Queffeulou for Kalego Solutions, from the Université Laval.

A CELEBRATION OF INNOVATION
The finalists delivered impassioned pitches to a panel of industry leaders at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre, judged on entrepreneurial spirit, sound business model, traction, and scalability. The live competition drew over 500 attendees, including students, business leaders, and policymakers, all rallying behind Canada’s next generation of entrepreneurial talent.
