Through a new partnership between TELUS and Enactus Canada, Enactus students across the country are invited to join the TELUS WISE Program and serve as certified TELUS WISE Ambassadors in their communities.
From cyberbullying to online fraud, TELUS WISE is an industry-leading educational program focused on internet and smartphone safety to keep individuals and families safe while they browse the web.
This new opportunity will give students the opportunity to volunteer and give back to their community while enhancing their presentations skills, across a variety of age groups – valuable skills which will not only support their Enactus programming, but also for success in their upcoming professional careers.
“Enactus students are perfect candidates for becoming TELUS WISE Ambassadors as they are passionate about advancing the economic, social and environmental health of Canadians – of which digital literacy education is an important foundation ,” said Shelly Smith, director, TELUS WISE. “TELUS is proud to partner with Enactus Canada as we see Enactus students as the business leaders of tomorrow, who we want to work with on educating all generation of Canadians participating in our digital society safely.”
The TELUS WISE Program also provides a great opportunity for Enactus student to connect with business professionals across TELUS, Canada’s fastest growing telecommunications company.
“Cyberbullying and online fraud are important issues facing Canadians in this digital age,” said Enactus Canada president, Nicole Almond. “We are confident that Enactus students, as digital natives and through peer mentoring, are in a unique position to make real change in these areas through the TELUS WISE program.”
TELUS WISE will host an Information Session for Enactus students to further discuss the TELUS WISE Ambassador Opportunities, to be held at the Enactus Canada National Exposition.
