The Enactus experience would not be possible without the faculty advisors that go above and beyond for students and the success of their teams. Faculty advisors are not only helping teams navigate their projects, but they are also inspiring future leaders.

With support from the John Dobson Foundation, we recognize faculty advisors for their contributions to Enactus teams. This year we are pleased to announce the recipients of the John Dobson Fellow of the Year, Rookie Faculty Advisor, and 19 faculty advisors who were inducted into the John Dobson Fellowship.

John Dobson Enactus Fellow of the Year

Meredith Drost, is an Enactus Alumna from Saint Mary’s University and has been a Faculty Advisor for more than three years for the award-winning team.

As a business design specialist, she has been instrumental in ensuring that the fundamentals of the SMU team’s businesses are solid, and that as they improve, they are doing so in a sustainable way. Her team tells us that she is the Enactus role model that every team deserves. Meredith leads with passion, resilience and a competitive spirit the ignites the team and encourages them to do better every day. Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to advancing entrepreneurial learning in both her work and with her personal time, she helped bring the team representing Canada to the 2024 Enactus World Cup in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Dean Howley, Loyalist College, 2025 Rookie Faculty Advisor of the Year

Rookie Faculty Advisor of the Year

Dean Howley, Faculty Advisor at Loyalist College, started the program late in the year with just one experienced Enactus member and two new students.

Despite the challenges, the team credits their incredible growth and success to the constant encouragement and support of their Faculty Advisor, who was also new to the Enactus program. Under their guidance, the team grew to 12 highly engaged members and went on to win first place in the Innovation and Impact Challenge at the Regional Exposition.
