CALGARY, ALBERTA (March 7, 2016) – Student teams and entrepreneurs, who are transforming lives through entrepreneurial action, were named 2016 Enactus Canada Regional Champions on March 4 in Calgary.
At the Enactus Canada Regional Exposition – Western Canada, two champions were named for the Capital One Financial Education Challenge, Scotiabank EcoLiving Green Challenge, Scotiabank Youth Empowerment Challenge and the TD Entrepreneurship Challenge.

Post-secondary students who balance a full-time course load and a full-time business competed in the Student Entrepreneur National Competition, and two were named regional champions:
- Dustin Erickson, owner of Float Space and student at the University of British Columbia
- Paul Shumlich, owner of Deepwater Farms and student at Mount Royal University
Two outstanding female students were also presented with the HSBC Woman Leader of Tomorrow awards for Western Canada:
- Wionna Bhatti, student at Simon Fraser University
- Victoria Stosky, student at Mount Royal Unviersity

Regional champions will move on to the national level of competition taking place May 2-4 at the 2016 Enactus Canada National Exposition in Toronto, Ontario.
