CALGARY, ALBERTA (February 11, 2014) – Steve Frederick, owner of Viewpoint Decking LTD. and full-time student at the University of Calgary, and Daniel Kwagbenu, owner of Rubix Group of Companies and full-time student at SAIT Polytechnic, have been named Alberta’s 2014 Student Entrepreneur Provincial Champions. Provincial Champions coast to coast were named by this country’s largest student leadership development organization, Enactus Canada, and proud program supporter, the John Dobson Foundation, as part of the Student Entrepreneur National Competition.
Frederick and Kwagbenu received the title of Student Entrepreneur Provincial Champion because of their ability to balance the demands of a full-time university course load with the trials and tribulations of running a company.
Viewpoint Decking LTD. is a Calgary-based corporation founded in 2010 specializing in retrofits and new construction of premium rolled vinyl exterior residential and commercial decks.
Rubix is a premier financial services boutique firm that focuses on providing financial advice, planning and investment opportunities for clients to make or save money within their investment portfolios.
Frederick and Kwagbenu will showcase their business and personal accomplishments as entrepreneurs at the Enactus Canada Regional Exposition – Western Canada in Calgary on February 28th, where they will compete for the title of Regional Champion.

Frederick and Kwagbenu will compete against two other Student Entrepreneur Provincial Champions from Western Canada for the regional title and the chance to move on to the 2014 Enactus Canada National Exposition in Calgary, Alberta taking place April 28-30. The National Champion will receive a $10,000 cash prize and take home the John Dobson Cup.
