(TORONTO, ON) JANUARY 30, 2023: Canadian Western Bank (CWB) and Enactus Canada are excited to announce an expanded partnership, which will provide inclusivity training for post-secondary students across Canada and an Indigenous Fellowship Program, which will aim to grow the Enactus team presence in Indigenous communities, helping develop the next generation of Indigenous student leaders.
“This program inspires Canada’s next-gen business leaders to co-develop and jointly implement programming that works with Indigenous peoples to promote social and economic inclusion,” said Allyson Hewitt, President & CEO, Enactus Canada. “CWB’s focus on the unique financial needs of business owners, and belief that inclusion has power makes them the perfect partner to help us launch this program. We, at Enactus Canada, are thrilled to have Canadian Western Bank’s insights, expertise, and passion for a better world as a part of our Enactus community.”
Canadian Western Bank (CWB) has been a key partner of Enactus Canada since 2017, empowering students with insights, knowledge, and funding to develop and deliver projects that address specific and unique financial needs in their communities. Building on a foundation of positive change, the organization pivoted their partnership to promote Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.
Launching this year, the CWB Inclusivity Training & Resources will provide inclusivity training to Enactus students from across the country, designed to provide and improve awareness, knowledge and skills.
The CWB Indigenous Fellowship Program will build capacity on campuses in Indigenous communities and support existing Enactus teams in their efforts to become more inclusive.
And finally, launching in Fall 2023, the CWB Inclusion Project Accelerator is designed to empower Enactus teams to deliver projects that promote the social and economic inclusion of Indigenous peoples and/or entrepreneurs.
