Social Innovation Lab

The Brenda Strafford Social Innovation Lab offers Enactus students from across Canada the opportunity to address one of the country’s most urgent social issues by helping survivors of domestic violence rebuild their lives with safety, dignity, and long-term stability.

Through the program, teams will receive mentorship, learn best practices, and receive funding.

How It Works:
  • Six Enactus students will be selected to work in small teams and use human-centered design thinking to develop innovative solutions, guided by a dedicated facilitator and supported by subject matter experts
  • Gain hands-on experience applying design thinking in a trauma-informed, social innovation setting over the course of the 12-week program
  • Selected students will receive up to $1,000 in travel funding to attend the Enactus Canada National Exposition
  • Each team will develop their own approach and present final solutions to the Brenda Strafford Foundation and a national audience at the Enactus Canada National Exposition

Applications open from Wednesday, November 26 to Sunday, December 14 at 11:59 pm (ET).
