National Bank Continues Support for Inclusion, Education, and Entrepreneurship programs at Enactus Canada

In spring 2025, Canadian Western Bank, a supporter of Enactus Canada since 2017, was acquired by National Bank of Canada. With this transition, National Bank has seamlessly continued supporting the important programs established through the partnership, ensuring sustained support for initiatives that advance inclusion, education, and entrepreneurship across the Enactus network.

Through this continued support, Enactus Canada will continue to deliver several key initiatives:

  • National Bank Indigenous Inclusion Project Accelerator – Supporting Enactus teams with the resources to deliver projects that promote the social and economic inclusion of Indigenous Peoples and Indigenous entrepreneurs in Canada.
  • Inclusivity Training for Staff and Students – Equipping Enactus teams and Enactus Canada staff with the tools and understanding needed to create safe, inclusive, and equitable environments.
  • Funded Indigenous Network Growth Position – A dedicated role focused on increasing the number of Indigenous-led campuses in the Enactus network and strengthening recruitment strategies to encourage more Indigenous students to participate on existing teams.

“This partnership with National Bank ensures that students across the network have access to the tools, training, and opportunities they need to succeed,” commented Catherine Fowler, President and CEO of Enactus Canada. “By fostering inclusive environments and supporting projects that prioritize equity, we are empowering all Enactus students to build stronger teams, lead with purpose, and create lasting impact in their communities and beyond”

“At National Bank, we believe that inclusion and education are essential pillars for building a stronger, more equitable future,” said Steve Berna, Managing Director of Indigenous Relations at National Bank. “Supporting Enactus Canada aims to empower the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs, by providing the tools and opportunities needed to build stronger relationships with Indigenous communities. This partnership reflects our commitment to fostering inclusion, driving innovation, and creating lasting impact in communities across Canada.”
