(MONTREAL, QC) May 3, 2023 – Alexander Smith, from Wilfrid Laurier Unviersity was named the 2023 Student Leader of the Year by Canada’s largest student leadership development organization, Enactus Canada, and program partner, The John Dobson Foundation.
Alexander Smith is a person who leads by example, always putting Enactus’s success before his own, motivating and inspiring his team to strive for excellence, and juggling several priorities with ease. His ability to build solid processes and encourage others to do their best has led to the team’s unparalleled success, winning six regional competitions, back-to-back national titles, and representing Canada on the global stage twice, all of which would not have been possible without his unwavering commitment to the team’s success. To his team, he is Enactus.
The Student Leader of the Year award is designed to recognize the leader or president who has made the most outstanding contribution to their Enactus team, supporting and advancing the team’s success. The award announcement took place today at the 2023 Enactus Canada National Exposition.
