Innovation and Impact Challenge, Powered by Enactus Alumni
The Innovation and Impact Challenge, powered by Enactus Alumni empowers Enactus teams to identify, create and deliver projects that address real-world problems. The purpose of this challenge is specifically broad to allow Enactus teams to present their innovative ideas and solutions, regardless of the problem area, solution stage, or state of impact.
Donations to this student-favourite challenge can be made through CanadaHelps.

National Champion – Saint Mary’s University: Plastarch Packaging provides a bioplastic solution to single-use cutlery and packaging for environmentally conscious business owners without compromising durability and affordability.
Runner Up – Simon Fraser University: Aqua Analyzer tests water quality by measuring three parameters: total dissolved solids, pH, and temperature.
Second Runner Up – Memorial University of Newfoundland: Project R3D is tackling discarded fishing or “ghost” gear pollution in our oceans by gathering and repurposing this gear through 3D printing technology.

Alumni Mentorship Opportunities
This program pairs alumni with an Innovation and Impact Challenge finalist team based on their area of expertise and interests. Alumni will act as mentors to the team to help grow their new innovative projects.

Awards and Recognition
Alumni of the Year Award – Presented by The John Dobson Foundation
This annual award recognizes the achievements of Alumni and activities that further and support the Enactus mission beyond graduation. The award is by nomination and the recipient will be named at the National Exposition. Learn more about our awards and the nomination process.
