Board Member Bios
Ian Aitken founded Enactus Canada as a student at Western University over 30 years ago. He is also the President and CEO of Pembroke Private Wealth Management, an investment management firm.
Franca Gucciardi is an experienced leader in the non-profit world. She is currently the CEO of the McCall MacBain Foundation and previously led the Loran Scholars Foundation and served as the director of Canada’s Millennium Excellence Awards program. She also worked for the Ontario Legislative Assembly, Brampton Caledon Community Living and TV Ontario.
Ian Hanning has over 15 years of experience in managing and leading teams across many aspects of Finance in the UK and Canada. He is currently the CFO and Senior VP, Finance at President’s Choice Financial and has also held CFO roles at a fintech start up and Capital One Canada.
Rob Henderson is an entrepreneur whose career started at Enactus head office, eventually serving as President. He is proud to be a donor, Director and that he has attended and judged in over 25 National and International Enactus expositions. He has started or led ventures across several industries, including media, entertainment, AdTech, and EdTech. His current company, YOURIKA, is a leader in AI-assisted learning and is backed by leading investors, including Amazon. Rob is an alumnus of Enactus Laurier and loves to talk about all things Enactus, start-ups, artificial intelligence, and what it was like to work with Will Smith and Jamie Foxx.
Jamie MacKay has over 15 years experience leading people and teams, implementing and overseeing strategic initiatives, and managing stakeholder relationships and expectations. He has held C-suite positions at many growing companies. Jamie is an alumnus of Enactus Trent.
Susan O’Brien is the Senior Vice-President, Marketing, at Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (CTC), responsible for all marketing and customer strategies for Canadian Tire Retail, Mark’s, SportChek, Financial Services, Party City, the Triangle Rewards program and CTC’s multi-billion dollar consumer brands portfolio, including the Helly Hansen brand. In 2002, she was nominated for Marketing Magazine’s Top 30 under 30 award, was named one of Toronto’s Brand Stars by Ad Week in 2018, and recently was awarded as one of Canada’s Marketers of the Year by Strategy Magazine.
Rob Paterson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Alterna Savings and Credit Union and Alterna Bank, positions he has held since April 2013. Prior to joining Alterna, Rob worked in financial services for over 25 years and has held executive positions within such companies as CIBC, JP Morgan CHASE, Aon Corp, and McKinsey & Company. He first joined the Enactus Canada Board of Directors in 1998.
