Impact evaluation is such a critical piece to what we do as an organization.
It proves that what we are doing is actually achieving the intended impact on the beneficiaries who we serve. It also allows us to benchmark year over year our success to determine if we are successfully building on our impact year over year.
Teams should be quite familiar with impact evaluation – after all, it is the impact that they share at the Enactus Canada National Exposition, which will ultimately determine who represents our country at the 2015 Enactus World Cup in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The past two years Enactus has developed new metrics and frameworks to try and capture the impact that we are having here in Canada and around the world. Last year, we rolled out this new framework and data points and collected more robust impact data than ever before. It has allowed us to better tell our story to those who support us while also allowing us to hold each other accountable to what we all claim as impact. It is also helping to frame the rollout of future programs and is helping to shape our organization’s strategy moving forward.
This is why we are excited to have recently sent off the 2014-2015 reporting packages to each Enactus team. We believe that we will be able to build off the success of last year and further capture meaningful data. These data packages also serve as the basis for any necessary team audits.
Final reporting is due on April 17th. Once we collect your data, we are able to aggregate it and share the story of our collective impact to the world.
Thank you for all that you do and thank you for sharing your success with us.
