Mississauga, ON – March 5, 2025 – Some of the best young entrepreneurs, representing post-secondary schools across Ontario and Quebec, are competing in Mississauga on March 5 and 6 at the Enactus Central Canada Regional Exposition.  

Student teams will present their social impact projects and businesses, offering solutions to economic, social and environmental issues, to judges from local businesses and other leaders. Teams compete for funding to further their projects and a spot to represent their school at the National Exposition in Calgary in May. 

When: 

  • Wednesday, March 5, 5-6 PM – Opening Ceremony and welcome by City of Mississauga Deputy Mayor, Matt Mahoney. 
  • Thursday, March 6 – Rounds of live competition judged by local business leaders throughout the day. Awards ceremony (5-6 pm), winners advance to the National Exposition.

What:  

  • Teams representing post-secondary schools across Ontario and Quebec will present social impact projects in the following Impact Challenge categories: 
  • Canadian Tire Environmental Sustainability Challenge: Tackling climate change through the concept of circularity while teaching and empowering others to do the same. 
  • Desjardins Youth Empowerment Challenge: Addressing the needs, barriers, and opportunities facing youth, as it relates to education, learning skills, and lifelong success. 
  • Innovation and Impact Challenge, powered by Enactus Alumni: Developing social impact enterprises to address real-world problems. 
  • TD Entrepreneurship Challenge: Teaching entrepreneurship skills to empower aspiring and existing entrepreneurs
