Michelle Bonnah was an active member on the Queen’s University Enactus team, serving as the Project Manager for the team’s Financial Literacy Program.

As an alumnus, Michelle pulled from her Enactus experience to land the job of Marketing Associate at Capital One Canada.

“Enactus gave me the ability to work in a team, think independently and own something,” says Michelle.

In her current role she uses these skills every day while being responsible for the execution of Capital One Canada’s marketing strategy.

Seeing something go from an idea to actual fruition is what Michelle loves about her job. She is able to be involved in a project from start to finish; creating marketing plans, bringing products and services to market, analyzing what worked and what did not and then repeating that process for the next project.

Working at Capital One exceeded Michelle’s expectations.

“It is more creative than I ever thought it would be,” she says. “They are open to new ideas, and new opportunities were given to me on day one.”

Going from student to young professional, Michelle has been able to find work that she is truly passionate about and, as a proud alumni, loves watching Enactus students grow and succeed.

“Seeing the impact students are having from the alumni perspective is really empowering.”
