Good afternoon, everyone! We hope you’re all doing well, I know it’s a crazy time right now with the end of term, final assignments, and exams looming, but we wanted to take a couple of minutes to give you an update on all things Enactus events because we know you’re eager to know what things will look like!

We have spent the last month or so speaking with partners, students, and faculty to evaluate all our options and make sure we’re coming to a decision that is both feasible, and safe.

To start – we’re happy to say that we are still planning on hosting a live, in-person National Exposition this year! We are currently scheduled for May 10-12 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and our team here at the National Office is committed to bringing you a Nationals to remember.

When it comes to the Regional Expositions, based on feedback from academic institutions and partners and given the ever-changing public health situation, we, unfortunately, won’t be able to host our traditional in-person regional events in Calgary, Halifax, and Mississauga.

However – we heard you – you miss connecting with other students and that excitement of in-person events, so we did what we do best – we thought outside the box and have put together a plan for a hybrid event that will give you that opportunity.

For this year’s Regionals, the Ceremonies and National Challenges will be held virtually, with video submissions due February 27th and Q&A recordings being held February 28th and March 1st.

So, what are these In-Person Hubs?

After consulting with students and faculty from across the country – in absence of our standard regional competitions, there was an overwhelming amount of support to have teams gather in smaller regional hubs across the country to connect, collaborate, and celebrate their hard work and accomplishments.

These smaller, in-person hubs will be hosted in strategic locations throughout the country that ensure as many students and faculty can safely gather together.

This is where we need your help!

Team Presidents and Faculty Advisors, check your email inboxes for an email from your Program Manager! We’ve provided a full breakdown of what I just talked about, along with some initial questions as we start planning for the events.

We’ll have more details in the weeks and months to come, but also wanted to note that, as we have all learned since March 2020 – we can’t always stick to the original plan, so we will continue to evaluate the situation and you will be the first to know if anything changes!

We are so excited to start bringing back the passion, excitement, energy, and collaboration – the magic – that happens when we bring all of you together!! We cannot wait to see you all soon!
