(TORONTO) May, 10 2022: A group of Enactus students from Concordia University launched Project Vive, a peer-to-peer awareness and events series aimed at spreading education, support and resources to combat mental health stigma.

Enactus Concordia University was awarded the Co-operators Youth Mental Wellness Project Accelerator Best Project award at the 2022 Enactus Canada National Exposition Opening Ceremony.

Thanks to Project Vive, 830 youth are now aware of mental health issues and how to manage them.

“Congratulations to the Concordia University team for their dedication to supporting the mental wellness of Canadian youth, particularly now when we know young people are struggling as we emerge from the pandemic” says Chad Park, Vice-President Sustainability & Citizenship. “Through our partnership with Enactus, we aim to improve the mental well-being and resilience of Canadian youth, and are proud to support campus-based projects as part of the Youth Mental Wellness Project Accelerator. We celebrate the work of the eight teams across the country, whose projects have positively impacted more than 2,950 youth.”

The Co-operators Youth Mental Wellness Project Accelerator, launched in 2018, is designed to empower Enactus teams with the resources needed to identify, create and deliver projects that decrease the severity of mental health concerns reported by youth on post-secondary campuses, and/or increase their mental health resiliency.

The Enactus Canada National Exposition unites hundreds of delegates including the country’s brightest university and college students, academic professionals and top Canadian CEOs to enable progress by supporting entrepreneurial action through competition, recognition and education.
