(TORONTOMay 18 2021: Azadeh Dastmalchi, owner of VitalTracer and full-time student at the University of Ottawa, has won $10,000 and has been named 2021 Student Entrepreneur National Champion by this country’s largest student leadership development organization, Enactus Canada, and proud program supporter, HSBC Bank Canada. 

VitalTracer is a medical start-up that offers both SaaS solution and a smartwatch that accurately captures vital signs without disrupting daily life. The aim is to create a platform for those who need to improve or manage health with a convenient and non-invasive solution.

Azadeh earned the coveted title of Student Entrepreneur National Champion – competing against hundreds of other student entrepreneurs across CanadaAfter qualifying through the Student Entrepreneur Opening Round of Competition, Azadeh went head to head with two other student entrepreneur finalists, pitching her business to a panel of business executives. She was crowned Student Entrepreneur National Champion on May 18 at the Enactus Canada National Exposition.

The Enactus Canada National Exposition unites 1,500 delegates including the country’s brightest university and college students, academic professionals and top Canadian CEOs to enable progress by supporting entrepreneurial action through competition, recognition and education.
