(TORONTO, ON) October 2, 2022: Jamieson Fregeau, owner of Quandri and full-time student at the University of Victoria, has won $10,000 and has been named the 2022 Student Entrepreneur National Champion by Enactus, Canada’s largest student leadership development organization, and proud program supporter, HSBC Bank Canada.

Quandri is a business focused on building intelligent software robots to automate high-volume repetitive processes for companies. He helps companies not only increase their efficiency, but also become more cost-effective.

“At Enactus, our aim is to empower the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders to help build a better tomorrow for us all,” said Allyson Hewitt, President and CEO of Enactus Canada. “Jamieson embodies the qualities we hope to inspire in our future leaders. We are honoured to celebrate their accomplishments and help advance Quandri through this financial award and recognition.”

Jamieson earned the prestigious title of Student Entrepreneur National Champion, beating out hundreds of other student entrepreneurs across Canada. After qualifying through the Student Entrepreneur Opening Round of Competition in May, he went head-to-head with three other student entrepreneur finalists, pitching his business virtually to a panel of business executives. Jamieson was crowned Student Entrepreneur National Champion at the Enactus Canada National Exposition on September 30, 2022 in Toronto, Ontario.

“Congratulations to Jamieson on being named the 2022 Student Entrepreneur National Champion, and inspiring students across the country.” said Caroline Tose, Chief Operating Officer, HSBC Bank Canada, and executive sponsor for the partnership. “Supporting student entrepreneurs like Jamieson is part of our commitment to help communities develop the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the global economy.
