HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA (February 22, 2016) – This country’s largest student leadership development organization, Enactus Canada, is hosting their 2016 Regional Exposition – Atlantic Canada at the World Trade and Convention Centre, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on February 25-26, 2016. The event inspires and celebrates the entrepreneurial action of student teams and student entrepreneurs across Atlantic Canada.
“Enactus Canada is proud of the thousands of socially responsible young Canadians who are choosing to make a real difference in the communities in which they live,” says Enactus Canada president, Nicole Almond. “This regional gathering of high impact, values-driven student and business leaders provides an ideal opportunity to showcase the incredible impact these students are making in individual lives through their community projects and business ventures.”
The Enactus Canada Regional Exposition brings together over 300 student leaders, academic professionals and top executives and entrepreneurs from Atlantic Canada around the shared cause of transforming lives through entrepreneurial action.
During the event, post-secondary students will compete for prestigious regional championship titles by showcasing their community outreach projects and business ventures to judging panels composed of business professionals.
Three team-based competitions focused on entrepreneurship, environmental issues and financial education, as well as an individual-based competition for full-time students operating full-time businesses, will take place during the Enactus Canada Regional Exposition.
The awards ceremony to announce all regional champions will be held at 5:00 p.m. in Suite 200A1, Level 2 of the World Trade and Convention Centre.
Regional champions will move on to the national level of competition taking place May 2-4 at the 2016 Enactus Canada National Exposition in Toronto, Ontario.
