A Message from the Board of Directors
We are excited to announce that Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE) is rebranding as Enactus Canada.
For over 10 years, ACE has had a successful and beneficial partnership with SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise), a global organization that shared with us a common mission and set of core values. In 2012, the global leadership team at SIFE made the strategic decision to change their name to Enactus, and ACE has decided to harmonize with this new global brand and our 39 country partners.
We believe our decision to rebrand maximizes our opportunities for growth. With campus teams working under the Enactus name and the national office working under another, it was challenging for us to build consistent brand awareness nationally and effectively communicate the incredible work of our teams.
As you can see, the name Enactus is made up of three words so central to what we do and believe in – entrepreneurial, action and us. Our renewed purpose is to enable progress through entrepreneurial action.
Our name change does not reflect a change in focus; it reflects a renewed commitment to entrepreneurial action and to enabling progress across Canada and around the world.
We will continue to impact the Canadian economy and environment, as well as individual communities and lives, by unleashing the entrepreneurial spirit of the young people involved in our programs. As always, we will use the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better, more sustainable world.
