(MISSISSAUGA) 10 March 2017 – In her first year on her Enactus Team, Angy Jiang singlehandedly raised $15,000, facilitated the creation of eight new projects, and grew the number of active student members from six to 80. Nuha Siddiqui, current President of Enactus U of T at St. George Campus also transformed her team into a powerhouse of 80+ students and led the launch of EcoPackers, a social enterprise that makes recycled packing peanuts out of potato starch.

Angy Jiang, student at Wilfrid Laurier University and Nuha Siddiqui, student at the University of Toronto – St. George Campus, received the 2017 HSBC Woman Leader of Tomorrow award for Central Canada from Canada’s largest experiential learning platform, Enactus Canada, and HSBC Bank Canada. The award presentation took place at the 2017 Enactus Canada Regional Exposition March 9 in Mississauga.

The HSBC Woman Leader of Tomorrow award is designed to recognize, celebrate and honor female university and college students – on a regional and national level – who exemplify success and inspire their peers, community and country through entrepreneurial leadership.

Angy and Nuha are two of six regional award winners from across Canada who will travel to the 2017 Enactus Canada National Exposition in May with the hopes of being named the national 2017 HSBC Woman Leader of Tomorrow.
Additionally, Angy and Nuha, along with the top 50 award applicants from across the country will also be invited to attend the exclusive HSBC Women’s Leadership Forum at the 2017 Enactus Canada National Exposition. The annual forum will unite top entrepreneurial female leaders to encourage open dialogue, build leadership aptitude, and establish connections among generations of strong female leaders.
