(TORONTO) May 12, 2022 – A group of students on the Enactus Okanagan College team created an initiative that has prevented 35,000 lbs. of apple spoilage while feeding their local community and generating $15,000 in revenue by dehydrating apples and turning them into nutritious apple chips.

Enactus Okanagan College was named 2022 TD Entrepreneurship Challenge National Champions by Canada’s largest experiential learning platform, Enactus Canada, and program supporter TD Bank Group.

“In working with TD, this collaboration plays a key role in the long-term economic success of thousands of Canadians,” said Nicole Almond, President of Enactus Canada. “Thank you to Enactus Okanagan College for driving entrepreneurial growth across Canada!”
