(TORONTO) May 12, 2022 – A group of students on the Enactus Okanagan College team created an initiative that has prevented 35,000 lbs. of apple spoilage while feeding their local community and generating $15,000 in revenue by dehydrating apples and turning them into nutritious apple chips.
Enactus Okanagan College was named 2022 TD Entrepreneurship Challenge National Champions by Canada’s largest experiential learning platform, Enactus Canada, and program supporter TD Bank Group.

The TD Entrepreneurship Challenge is a national competition empowering post-secondary students to develop and deliver projects that teach entrepreneurial skills to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs. Since 2007, 21,489 students have delivered over 1,100 entrepreneurship projects, exposing 167,118 people to entrepreneurship as a viable career path and helping 8,010 people gain employment.
The Enactus Canada National Exposition unites hundreds of delegates including the country’s brightest university and college students, academic professionals and top Canadian CEOs to enable progress by supporting entrepreneurial action through competition, recognition and education.
