(TORONTO) 15 May 2018: Today, Hannah Chisholm, a student at St. Francis Xavier University, was announced as the 2018 HSBC Woman Leader of Tomorrow Award recipient by student leadership development organization, Enactus Canada, and long-time program partner, HSBC Bank Canada.

Hannah Chisholm, a true leader, launched an Enactus Program on campus to tackle mental health and wellness, is a Student Union Food Resource Coordinator working to combat food insecurity on campus and recently started her own vegan business, Eggcitables.

The HSBC Woman Leader of Tomorrow award is designed to recognize, celebrate and honour female university and college students – on a regional and national level – who exemplify success and inspire their peers, community and country through entrepreneurial leadership. The program has been running for seven years, providing scholarships, mentorship and recognition to exceptional female leaders across the country. The award presentation took place at the 2018 Enactus Canada National Exposition, in Toronto.

Hannah Chisholm, along with the top 50 award applicants, has also been invited to attend the exclusive HSBC Women’s Leadership Forum held at the 2018 Enactus Canada National Exposition. This forum inspires open dialogue, builds leadership aptitude and establishes connections amongst generations of top entrepreneurial female leaders.

In recognition of the national award, Hannah and the Enactus team at St. Francis Xavier University will receive a $2,500 project grant to be used in the development and delivery of an initiative focused on the advancement of women in their community as well as a $1,500 scholarship.

The 2018 Enactus Canada National Exposition unites 1,500 delegates including the country’s brightest university and college students, academic professionals and top Canadian CEOs to enable progress by supporting entrepreneurial action through competition, recognition and education.
